The chilly winter weather! How much were we looking forward to it all year? Now that it’s here, it has us digging through our closets to look for our winter clothes only to find out we need to go shopping. The struggle is real. And to make matters worse – when we think we got it all figured out, welcome a 70-degree day. Oh, Texas. What we can say?

What to Know: All skaters using rental skates are required to wear socks. Once skaters have purchased the admission and skate rental tickets, they’re welcome to skate as long as they like during the public session. However, they do have a ‘no in and out policy’. In other words, they do not allow skaters to come in and skate for a while, leave the rink, and then come back later and skate on the same ticket.

2. Movie at a Drive-In Theater

Bring a sense of nostalgia and catch a movie at a drive-in theater. Not only does it make movie night more fun, also makes for a more affordable than a standard theater. Pull into a parking spot, bring the tailgate down set up the pillows and blankets. Movies usually begin at sundown.

What to Know: 30 minutes from downtown in Ennis, Texas so one of the closest options if you live in Dallas. Just an FYI, they don’t allow outside food or drinks but their snacks are about half the price of a standard movie theater.

When: Open 7 Days A Week (rain or shine).
What to Know: Located in Ft. Worth featuring outdoor double features with a big, covered concession area serving local brews, plus a playground. Love that they have S’more Kits!
